Skin Mapping

Have you ever noticed a sudden breakout on your forehead or cheeks when you've been indulging in an unhealthier lifestyle? What if I told you that your skin is connected to your internal organs and that you can use your skin to tell what's going on inside your body? This practice is known as skin mapping, and it's been used for centuries.

Our skin is the largest organ on our bodies, and it's connected to every part of our body. Skin mapping is the process of analyzing the location of skin issues and what they represent internally. Each part of the face represents a different internal organ, so by analyzing what's happening on your skin, you can pinpoint what's happening within your body.

Forehead and Sides of Face:

The forehead and sides of the face correspond to the large intestine. If you notice breakouts, blemishes, or redness in this area, it could be indicative of digestive problems, food intolerances or a lack of hydration. It's essential to drink plenty of water, reduce sugary, and refined foods, and to include plenty of fiber to keep the large intestine healthy.

Eyelids:

The eyelids correspond to the adrenals, which produce the hormone cortisol. Dark circles, puffiness, or bags under the eyes signify adrenal fatigue, which happens when our body is overworking, possibly due to a high-stress lifestyle, lack of sleep, or thyroid problems. To reduce adrenal fatigue, make sure to get enough sleep, practice relaxation techniques such as meditation or yoga, and seek medical advice if symptoms persist.

Under Eyes:

The area under the eyes corresponds to the kidneys. Dark circles or puffiness under the eyes could be a sign of poor kidney function or dehydration. Kidneys eliminate toxins from our body, so it's crucial to drink plenty of water, reduce alcohol and caffeine consumption, and limit salty foods.

Nose:

The nose corresponds to the esophagus, which is a tube that connects the mouth to the stomach. If you notice redness or dilated pores around the nose, you could be suffering from acid reflux or heartburn. To keep your esophagus healthy, reduce your intake of spicy or acidic foods, and avoid eating large meals late at night.

Cheeks:

The cheeks correspond to the small intestine, and breakouts or redness in this area could indicate poor digestion or nutrient absorption. To keep your small intestine healthy, eat plenty of fiber, avoid inflammatory foods such as dairy or gluten, and consider taking probiotics to improve gut health.

Under the Nose:

The area under the nose corresponds to the stomach. If you notice blemishes or redness in this area, it could be indicative of stomach acid or digestive problems. To keep a healthy stomach, maintain an overall healthy diet, eat slowly and consciously, and avoid eating before bedtime.

Jawline:

The jawline corresponds to the liver. Breakouts, redness or bumps in this area could indicate poor liver function or a build-up of toxins in the body. To support your liver, avoid excessive alcohol consumption, reduce intake of processed foods, and consider increasing your intake of detoxifying foods.

Around the Mouth:

The mouth corresponds to the rectum, which is the final part of the digestive system. Redness or breakouts around the mouth could be indicative of inflammatory bowel disease, constipation, or other digestive issues. To keep your rectum healthy, maintain a balanced diet, drink plenty of water, and consider taking probiotics to improve gut health.

While skin mapping is not an exact science, it can act as a useful tool to help identify internal health issues. By paying attention to the areas of our skin, we can detect early signs of health issues and take proactive steps to maintain our overall wellbeing. It's essential to remember that healthy skin requires a holistic approach, including a healthy diet and internal care, exercise, and stress management.
